Grants Coordinator
Linn County
Provides planning, oversight, and coordination to local grant boards in support of their distribution of local, state, and federal funds to serve Linn County children and/or youth. Serves as the contact person to varied State Departments, local agencies, legislators, recipients of funding and the community in general. Position facilitates local boards, serves on multiple community collaboratives, writes contracts, manages website, coordinates community marketing efforts, and authors’ grants to support varied child and youth efforts in the County.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Implements the allocation process of local, state, and/or federal funds
- Writes and monitors contracts in compliance with the Accountable Government Act and funding requirements
- Prepares an evaluation plan and monitors the performance outcomes of programs that receive local, state, and/or federal funds
- Accurately completes reporting requirements of local, state, and federal funding agencies
- Coordinate activities of the local grant board, and related committees, including facilitation preparation of agendas, compilation of materials, scheduling, and maintaining memberships
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Coursework in planning, criminal justice or related social sciences preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in the field with planning and grant management responsibilities required.
HOURLY WAGE:
- New Hire: $29.02
- 90 days: $30.52
- 1 year: $32.16
- 2 years: $33.87
- 3 years: $35.74
SHIFT:
- Monday – Friday | 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
