Midwest 3PL is seeking a skilled Lead Mechanic to join our growing team full-time. This position is responsible for helping maintain and keep our fleet and equipment running efficiently while coordinating regular preventative maintenance schedules for our fleet of 18 semis, trailers, and farm equipment.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in organization, reliability, and hands-on mechanical work. While major repairs are outsourced, the Lead Mechanic will oversee daily maintenance needs, diagnose issues, complete minor to moderate repairs, and ensure equipment stays operational and safe.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 40+ hours per week

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform preventative maintenance on semis, trailers, and farm equipment
• Organize and manage regular fleet maintenance schedules
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete repairs and maintenance on heavy and light equipment
• Coordinate outsourced major repair work when needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Help minimize downtime and keep operations moving smoothly

Requirements:

• Proven mechanical experience required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Experience with diesel and heavy equipment maintenance preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Pay:

• Starting at $30.00+ per hour depending on experience
