Compassionate Caregiver – Part-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide part-time care for our disabled daughter in our home. Candidates should have previous nursing, homecare, or experience working with people with disabilities. This role requires hands-on care, social engagement, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily care, including bathing, dressing, and tube feedings.
- Provide hand-over-hand activities, social interaction, and creative engagement such as crafts and reading.
- Monitor and assist with daily living skills, range of motion exercises, CPT, and checking oxygen stats.
- Measure medications and perform G-tube feedings (training will be provided).
- Follow universal precautions, maintain hygiene, and practice proper handwashing to ensure a safe environment.
- Ensure our daughter is comfortable, engaged, and receiving quality care while parents are away.
Qualifications:
- Should have previous nursing, homecare, or experience working with people with disabilities.
- Gentle, patient, and able to connect with a nonverbal individual.
- Reliable, responsible, and attentive to medical and hygiene protocols.
- Must be fully vaccinated and able to pass a background check.
Schedule:
- Part-time: Two days a week (10 AM – 2 PM) with occasional Saturdays.
About Our Daughter:
- She is nonverbal and uses a wheelchair. Though she is an adult, she is approximately the size of a fourth grader.
- Her condition is similar to cerebral palsy, requiring assistance with mobility and daily activities.
- She is quiet, calm, and happy, often expressing herself through vocalization and smiling.
- Parents are newly retired and are looking for a caregiver who can provide safe and compassionate care while they take time outside the home.
