Speech-Language Pathologist

The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa Department of ENT is seeking a full time or part time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of healthcare providers. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, voice, language, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, voice, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Perform and interpret speech evaluations to determine appropriate therapy needs.
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to patients.
- Administer swallow therapy and perform instrumental assessments, including Videostroboscopy and FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) testing.
- Develop treatment goals and plans in collaboration with the patient’s physician.
- Educate and instruct patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and communication strategies.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks relevant to Speech-Language Pathology practice.
Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must be or become proficient in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR).
- The qualified candidate will have their master’s degree in Speech Pathology or its equivalent, 3-5 years related clinical experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. State of Iowa licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Must also have ASHA Certification or ASHA certification must be in process.
