Mortgage Loan Officer
Bridge Community Bank
Lender will be responsible for the production and solicitation of a wide variety of residential real estate and consumer loans. Reviews mortgage loan applications to determine if basic lending criteria are met. Ensures that customer needs are satisfied through effective customer service. Additionally responsible for cross-sales and/or referrals of all bank products and services. Lender will maintain solid underwriting quality and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and bank policies.
Responsibilities
- Interviews applicants concerning their mortgage or consumer loan needs
- Initiates the process which determines the customer's financial condition in relation to acceptable risk within Bank policy or government guidelines
- Is responsible for their own pipeline and will submit for processing and underwriting all secondary market loan documentation in accordance with Fannie Mae and Government loan product requirements.
- Will collect and review necessary information from third party vendors needed to prepare closing documents, i.e. real estate agents, title companies and attorneys.
- Will close, fund and manage file through post closing
- Ensures the growth of the Mortgage Department through the selection and development of new accounts and the expansion of the portfolio.
- Acts in an advisory capacity to other Officers, employees and customers on matters pertaining to mortgage loans.
- Calls on Realtors, develpers and other sources of new business to increase referrals, build strategic partners and to promote the Bank and enhance overall banking relationships.
- Will network, develop partnerships and actively participate in community organizations and activities, acting to enhance the image of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of Secondary Market lending experience or 2 years of TRID Processing and/or Closing experience required.
- In lieu of the above, 2+ years of commercial lending or underwriting experience with a base level of TRID knowledge will also be considered.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and prioritize work demands effectively.
- Will be required to register with the NMLS and submit to a criminal background check.
