Operations Manager

   Starting Salary: $65,527

Summary:

Manages the day-to-day operations of LIFTS by supervising employees, handles bookkeeping such as accounts payable/receivable and payroll for the department. Acts as Emergency Management Agency Assistant Transportation Director in area emergencies. Acts as LIFTS Director in their absence.

Main Duties:

  • Managers daily operations by scheduling work assignments for drivers, overseeing dispatch, and filling in for dispatcher when necessary
  • Maintains the books by paying claims, sending out invoices, totaling timecards, and figuring payroll for 25 employees
  • Supervises staff by listening, counseling, overseeing projects, hiring, training, and disciplining when necessary
  • Manages training programs, safety programs, and drug and alcohol compliance in coordination with LIFTS Director
  • Communicates with staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 months of advanced study or training beyond the high school equivalency required
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience required, preferably in the para-transit field
  • Must obtain a CDL Class C with air brakes and passenger endorsements within 90 days of hire

Shift:                           

  • Monday – Friday | 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
