Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk pulls, packs, ships, and receives products. They complete documentation as required for all orders, warranties and returns. The position is expected to display excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with customers, either in person, on the phone or via email. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk records inventory for Parts, Service, and Install in the facility and in all company vehicles with accuracy and attention to detail. They will operate a forklift, pallet jack and dolly for moving or stacking materials as an essential part of the role. The position is expected to always abide by our Core Values.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. Follows continuous quality improvement objectives, safety, and quality standards.
  2. Pull, box, label and ship all incoming orders for customers. Process payment for orders and issue credits for returns.
  3. Prepare common carrier order for shipment. Contact freight broker to set up pick up and bill of lading.
  4. Check in all parts orders from all carriers. Put away all parts from received orders and from Service Technician returns.
  5. Process all warranty items. Return to factory for credit and monitor for credits and follow up if past 30 days.
  6. Process warranty returns for customers and issue credit when applicable. Monitor parts supplies making note of low and needed inventory. Communicate need for order to Operations Manager or Parts Supervisor.
  7. Maintain supply of packing materials, ordering supplies from vendor as needed. Maintain supply of vending and kitchen materials, as well as office supplies, ordering through Sales Coordinator, Operations Manager, or picking up from retailer as needed.
  8. Stock kitchen and bathrooms with supplies. Empty reciprocals in Parts dept., kitchen and bathrooms. Monitor exterior dumpster for capacity and contact vendor for pick up.
  9. Consistently maintain accurate inventory counts reporting any discrepancies for timely resolution.
  10. Record and complete an annual inventory count of parts in facility and in all company vehicles with accuracy and attention to detail.
  11. Communicate with Parts Supervisor with any concerns, questions or requests for additional direction or information.  
  12. Take ownership in our business results and your personal wellness.

  14. Essential education, licenses, certifications, skills and experience needed for this position:

     

    High School diploma or GED equivalent required

    AA or Technical Degree a plus

    Three years of experience in shipping/receiving or similar role desired

    Ability to operate forklift, dolly, or pallet jack a plus
